Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ACT) Youth Program

Salary: $90/hour

Schedule: Part-time 2 days per week with evening availability

Location: Based in Glen Cove, but requires travel throughout Nassau County

CEC Healthcare (CEC) is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults living with mental illness to achieve their highest potential. We're seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to lead our multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.

As a key member of our leadership team, the ACT Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner oversees the clinical care of program recipients and helps manage the day-to-day operations of a mobile, community-based OMH-licensed program. Working under the supervision of a psychiatrist, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients.

In This Role, You Will:

+ Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments and provide ongoing treatment.

+ Educate patients to promote understanding and improve adherence to treatment plans.

+ Oversee medication administration, ensuring safe and effective psychiatric and medical practices.

+ Perform evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and manage follow-up care under psychiatric supervision.

+ Communicate effectively with recipients, families, and external providers regarding psychiatric care and interventions.

+ Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up for all recipients.

+ Maintain flexibility to meet client and team needs, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.

+ Serve as an active member of the administrative team, contributing to staff meetings, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

+ Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with a psychiatry specialty.

+ Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.

+ Ability to travel independently to meet clients in the community.

+ Possession of a valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.

+ One year of relevant community health experience, ideally working with the adolescent population.
